Dapagliflozin 10 mg + Metformin 500 mg (as Metformin Hydrochloride)

Uses of Dapazep M 10/500 Tab

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve glycaemic control) along with diet and exercise; may be used when metformin alone is inadequate

• •Lowers blood glucose in type 2 diabetes
• •Improves insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose output
• •Promotes urinary glucose excretion
• •May aid modest weight reduction
• •Lowers risk of hypoglycaemia when not used with insulin/secretagogues

How it works

Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that reduces glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, increasing urinary glucose excretion. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity, helping lower blood glucose.

Directions for use

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed. Metformin-containing tablets are usually taken with meals to reduce stomach upset. Maintain adequate hydration; do not crush/chew unless advised.
