In Typhoid

Distaclor kills the typhoid bacteria in the blood and gut, bringing down the fever and preventing the complications of untreated typhoid.

Alcohol

Distaclor Drops may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).

Distaclor Drops is probably safe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feedingUNSAFE

Distaclor Drops is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.<br>Avoid prolonged use of Distaclor Drops, since it may have possible effects such as rash and diarrhea.

DrivingSAFE

Not expected to affect your ability to drive.

KidneyCAUTION

Distaclor Drops should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Distaclor Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

LiverCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

There is limited information available on the use of Distaclor Drops in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

• Distaclor Drop is not recommended for children less than 1 month of age.
• Ensure that your child completes the entire course of antibiotics.
• Quitting in between may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
• Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach.
• Give your child plenty of water if they develop diarrhea as a side effect.
• Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses.
• Never use this medicine for such conditions.
• Avoid saving up the medicine for future use and focus on giving Distaclor Drop to your child for their current infection.
