DYtor 100 Tablet contains torsemide, a loop diuretic that works by blocking the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the kidneys. This action increases urine production, helping the body eliminate excess salt and water. As a result, it reduces fluid buildup in tissues (edema) and decreases blood volume, which helps lower blood pressure and reduce the workload on the heart.
How to take Dytor 100 Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. DYtor 100 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of DYtor 100 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

An overdose of this medicine can cause severe dehydration, a sharp fall in blood pressure and dangerous salt imbalances. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions
Take it in the morning so that passing urine does not disturb your sleep. Your doctor will check your salts and kidney function with blood tests — do not skip them. Report muscle cramps, marked weakness, confusion or an irregular heartbeat; these can be signs your potassium or sodium has fallen. In hot weather or during an illness with vomiting or loose motions, tell your doctor — you may become dehydrated quickly.
Do not take Dytor if

Interactions with other medicines
Anti-inflammatory painkillers blunt the effect and can strain the kidneys. Lithium and digoxin levels are affected; tell your doctor if you take either. Potassium-sparing types must not be combined with potassium supplements without supervision.

Take it in the morning with breakfast to avoid getting up at night to urinate. Monitor your blood pressure after starting DYtor 100 Tablet, and notify your doctor if it does not lower down. Consult your doctor if you experience dizziness, tiredness, or muscle weakness that does not go away. Take potassium supplements or a potassium-rich diet (such as bananas, spinach, or coconut water) as DYtor 100 Tablet can decrease your potassium levels and lead to dehydration. You may be asked to get regular blood tests done to monitor your kidney function.
