Etotroy 60 mg Tablet contains Etoricoxib 60 mg. It belongs to the Selective COX-2 inhibitor (Coxib) class of medicines.
Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID). It reduces the formation of prostaglandins responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation, while sparing COX-1 to a greater extent than non-selective NSAIDs.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily; may be taken with or without food (food may delay onset). Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration; swallow with water and do not exceed the recommended dose.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Etotroy as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Etotroy than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Etotroy are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
