Uses of Glicla Dm 80MG Tab

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent) to help control blood glucose, especially when diet and exercise alone are insufficient

• •Lowers high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
• •Improves insulin release from pancreas
• •Helps reduce symptoms/complications of uncontrolled diabetes
• •Supports better HbA1c control when combined with diet and exercise

How it works

Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea antidiabetic that stimulates the pancreas to release insulin by closing ATP-sensitive potassium channels in beta cells. This increases insulin secretion and helps lower blood glucose levels.

Directions for use

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed. Usually taken with/just before meals (often breakfast; if divided dose, with breakfast and dinner) to reduce risk of hypoglycaemia. Swallow tablet with water; do not skip meals.
