Uses of Reclide 80 Tablet

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent) in adults, when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient; helps control blood glucose levels and reduce diabetes-related complications.

• •Lowers elevated blood sugar in type 2 diabetes
• •Improves fasting and post-meal glucose control
• •Helps reduce symptoms of hyperglycaemia
• •May reduce risk of long-term diabetic complications with good control

How it works

Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin release from pancreatic beta cells by closing ATP-sensitive potassium channels. This increases insulin secretion and helps lower blood glucose, mainly by improving post-meal and fasting glucose control.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once or twice daily with food (commonly with breakfast and/or evening meal) to reduce risk of hypoglycaemia. Swallow whole with water; do not skip meals. Regularly monitor blood glucose.
