Glimison-M 2 Forte Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

How Glimison M2 Tablet works

Glimison-M 2 Forte Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.

How to take Glimison M2 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glimison-M 2 Forte Tablet is to be taken with food.<br>Glimison-M 2 Forte Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Glimison M2 as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Glimison M2 than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Glimison M2 Tablet

Most side effects of Glimison M2 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
