A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Ivertreat Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Ivertreat Tablet contains Ivermectin (12mg).
Treatment of Parasitic infections
Ivertreat 12mg Tablet is an antiparasitic medication. It works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. This leads to the elimination of the parasite from the body and treats the infection.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ivertreat 12mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Ivertreat 12mg Tablet, consult your doctor.
Taking more Ivertreat than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Ivertreat are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Ivertreat. Some combinations can change how Ivertreat works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Ivertreat below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Take it on an empty stomach with a full glass of water. A single dose is often enough to clear the infection. However, if symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Drink lots of fluids and avoid caffeine when taking this medication. Your doctor may get stool and blood tests after taking the medication to see if you have gotten rid of the infection. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
