How Kz Lotion works

Most “KZ” lotions in India commonly contain an antifungal (often ketoconazole) that stops fungal growth by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This damages the membrane and helps clear infection and related itching/flaking.

How to take Kz Lotion

For external use only. Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected area once or twice daily or as prescribed. If used on scalp, apply to affected areas, leave on for the advised duration, then rinse. Avoid eyes, mouth, and broken skin; wash hands after application.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Kz as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Kz than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Kz Lotion

Most side effects of Kz are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Do not use if allergic to antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole) or any ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; rinse well if contact occurs. Use with caution on large areas, under occlusion, or in children unless prescribed. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, blistering, or no improvement after the recommended course.

Interactions with other medicines

No major interactions expected with topical use; if using other topical medicines/cosmetics on the same area, apply at different times to reduce irritation. If this product contains ketoconazole, clinically significant systemic interactions are unlikely with topical lotion.
