Missed dose and overdose

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely from skin use; swallowing the preparation may cause stomach upset. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Expert advice for Melanocyl Solution

MeLAnocyl Solution is prescribed along with UV-A rays for the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis. Wear UVA-absorbing, wrap-around sunglasses and cover exposed skin or use a sunblock (SP 15 or higher) for the twenty-four (24) hour period following treatment with MeLAnocyl Solution. Do not use perfumes, aftershave, deodorants or other cosmetics and toiletries while using MeLAnocyl Solution as they make your skin even more sensitive causing blistering of your skin. Use extra caution for at least 48 hours following each treatment. After each treatment, cover your skin for at least 8 hours by wearing protective clothing. Never take MeLAnocyl Solution more than the prescribed dose as it may cause burning or blistering of your skin after exposure to UV light. Do not use it if you have a history of melanoma or certain other types of skin cancer.
