Mext 7.5-F Tablet Kit contains Folic Acid (1mg) + Methotrexate (7.5mg).
Mext 7.5 F Combipack is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
Mext 7.5 F Combipack is a combination of two medicines: Methotrexate and Folic Acid. Methotrexate is an anticancer and immunosuppressive medication. It works in cancer by slowing the growth of cancer cells by blocking building blocks that cancer cells need to grow. It also works in autoimmune disease by decreasing the activity of body's immune system and prevents the body from attacking itself. Folic Acid, a form of vitamin B is added to prevent Folic Acid deficiency caused by Methotrexate.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mext 7.5 F Combipack may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.<br>Take it with food to avoid stomach upset.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Mext 7.5-F as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Mext 7.5-F than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Mext 7.5-F are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Store Mext 7.5-F below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
