How Omec 20 Capsule works

Omec 20mg Capsule works by specifically blocking an enzyme system known as the “acid pump” in the stomach lining. This enzyme is responsible for the final step in the production of gastric acid. Inhibiting this pump reduces both the volume and acidity of stomach secretions, providing lasting acid suppression and promoting healing of acid-related conditions such as ulcers and reflux disease.

How to take Omec 20 Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Omec 20mg Capsule is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Omec 20mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Omec than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

How to store Omec 20 Capsule

Store Omec below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Omec 20 Capsule

Take it before a meal, preferably in the morning, 30–60 minutes before breakfast, to get the best effect. Take it at the same time every day to help maintain consistent acid control. Avoid trigger foods, such as spicy, fatty, or acidic foods, and limit caffeine and alcohol intake. Avoid laying down right after eating. Wait at least 2–3 hours after meals before lying down to prevent acid reflux. Combine the treamtent with with lifestyle changes, such as healthy weight and quitting smoking. If you still experience heartburn or indigestion after 2 weeks, consult with your doctor.
