Omeprazole 20 mg (delayed-release) capsule
Treatment of acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, peptic/duodenal ulcer, gastritis/acid-related indigestion; prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers; part of H. pylori eradication therapy (with antibiotics).
Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It irreversibly blocks the gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in stomach parietal cells, reducing acid production and allowing ulcers/erosions to heal.
Capsule for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily 30–60 minutes before food (preferably before breakfast). Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. If on twice daily dosing, take before breakfast and before dinner.
Common side effects of WOKRIDE CAP 20MG may include:
Long-term use may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, bone fractures, and infections (e.g., C. difficile diarrhea). Seek medical help for black/tarry stools, blood in vomit, severe persistent diarrhea, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty swallowing. Use with caution in liver disease. May mask symptoms of gastric cancer—evaluate alarm symptoms before prolonged use.
