Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated September 2026
Raciraft 200 ml contains Calcium Carbonate (187.5mg) + Sodium Alginate (250mg) + Sodium Bicarbonate (106.5mg). It belongs to the Rifamycin class of medicines.
Treatment of Heartburn Treatment of Indigestion
Raciraft Tablet contains three active ingredients: calcium carbonate, sodium alginate, and sodium bicarbonate. Together, they work by neutralizing excess stomach acid and forming a protective layer on top of the stomach contents. This barrier prevents acid from flowing back into the esophagus, providing rapid relief from heartburn and acid reflux.
Use it as advised by your doctor or check the label for directions before use. Take this medication by mouth. Chew it completely before swallowing, or as directed by your doctor. Raciraft Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Raciraft Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
An overdose of this medicine can raise blood calcium dangerously, causing thirst, frequent urination, vomiting, confusion and kidney damage. It can cause severe loose motions or constipation and disturb the body's salt balance. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Most side effects of Raciraft are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Use with caution in patients with liver disease, not recommended for patients with severe diarrhea caused by pathogens other than E. coli.
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with a high blood calcium level, or with certain kidney stones. Magnesium-containing antacids are avoided in significant kidney disease.
May interact with other antibiotics, anticoagulants, and medications affecting liver enzymes.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C), away from light and moisture.
Avoid taking Raciraft Tablet at the same time as you take other medicines. This is because antacids can affect how well other medicine is absorbed. Incorporate the following lifestyle changes to prevent heartburn and indigestion: (a) Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water. (b) Avoid spicy and fatty fried food. (c) Lose weight if you are obese. (d) If you are a smoker, consider giving up. (e) Don't drink too much alcohol. (f) Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for a while to improve digestion. Avoid soft drinks and citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while taking this medicine.
Medicines with the same active ingredient (Calcium Carbonate (187.5mg) + Sodium Alginate (250mg) + Sodium Bicarbonate (106.5mg)). Ask your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands.
