Rosvie Cv 20 mg Capsule contains Rosuvastatin 20 mg + Clopidogrel 75 mg (capsule). It belongs to the P2Y12 inhibitor (thienopyridine) + HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) class of medicines.

How Rosvie Cv 20 mg Capsule works

Rosuvastatin is a statin (HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and helps stabilize plaque. Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet that irreversibly blocks the platelet P2Y12 (ADP) receptor, reducing platelet aggregation and preventing clot formation.

How to take Rosvie Cv 20 mg Capsule

Take by mouth as advised by the doctor, usually once daily at the same time; can be taken with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or open. Do not stop clopidogrel abruptly without medical advice, especially after stent placement.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Rosvie Cv as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Rosvie Cv than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Rosvie Cv are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Prescription medicine. Increased risk of bleeding (including GI or intracranial); seek urgent care for black stools, vomiting blood, unusual bruising or prolonged bleeding. Statin-related muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) risk—report unexplained muscle pain/weakness, especially with fever; caution in kidney disease and hypothyroidism. Monitor liver function; avoid in active liver disease. Use caution in elderly and in patients with history of peptic ulcer/bleeding. Inform doctor before surgery/dental procedures; clopidogrel may need temporary stoppage as advised. Not for use in children unless prescribed by specialist.

Interactions with other medicines

Other antiplatelets/anticoagulants (aspirin, warfarin, heparin, apixaban/rivaroxaban) and NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen) increase bleeding risk; PPIs especially omeprazole/esomeprazole may reduce clopidogrel effect; strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers may affect clopidogrel activation; rosuvastatin interactions with cyclosporine (contraindicated/avoid), gemfibrozil and other fibrates/niacin (↑myopathy risk), certain antivirals, and excessive alcohol (↑liver risk).
