Composition

Sacubitril 24 mg + Valsartan 26 mg (as Sacubitril/Valsartan 50 mg) per film-coated tablet

Uses of Sacuval 50 MG Tab 10S

Treatment of chronic heart failure (especially heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, HFrEF) to reduce risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization

• •Reduces risk of hospitalization due to heart failure
• •Lowers risk of cardiovascular death in HFrEF
• •Improves symptoms and exercise tolerance in chronic heart failure
• •Helps reduce blood pressure and cardiac workload

How it works

Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, increasing levels of natriuretic peptides which promote vasodilation, natriuresis and reduced cardiac remodeling. Valsartan blocks angiotensin II (AT1) receptors, reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone effects. Together they lower cardiac workload and improve heart failure outcomes.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually twice daily. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same times each day. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice. A 36-hour washout is required when switching from an ACE inhibitor to sacubitril/valsartan.

Side effects

Common side effects of Sacuval 50 MG Tab 10S may include:
