Sitagliptin (50mg) + Metformin (500mg)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve blood glucose control along with diet and exercise).
This is likely a combination of an antidiabetic DPP-4 inhibitor (commonly saxagliptin/teneligliptin/vildagliptin/linagliptin) with metformin. The DPP-4 inhibitor increases incretin levels to enhance glucose-dependent insulin release and reduce glucagon, while metformin decreases hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Usually taken orally once or twice daily with meals (especially if it contains metformin) to reduce stomach upset; swallow tablets whole with water. Do not stop or change dose without medical advice.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Sazyglip-M Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Confirm exact salts/strengths before dispensing as brand composition is unclear. Use with caution in kidney or liver disease; metformin-containing products may rarely cause lactic acidosis (seek urgent care for rapid breathing, severe weakness, abdominal pain). Monitor blood glucose and HbA1c regularly. Risk of hypoglycaemia increases if used with insulin or sulfonylureas. Inform doctor if you have pancreatitis history, heart failure, or are scheduled for contrast imaging/surgery (metformin may need temporary stoppage).
