Metformin (500mg) + Sitagliptin (50mg)
Siglyn M IR 50/500 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: sitagliptin and metformin. Sitagliptin help your pancreas produce more insulin, facilitate effective use of insulin by the body, and reduce excess sugar that your liver makes. Metformin is a biguanide which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestines and increases the bodys sensitivity to insulin. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Siglyn M IR 50/500 Tablet is to be taken with food.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Siglyn M Ir 50/500 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
