Bacterial infections in children such as throat/tonsil infections, ear infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible organisms
Cefalexin is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It kills bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death.
Oral drops: shake well before use, measure dose with the provided dropper/syringe. Give as prescribed by the doctor at evenly spaced intervals; can be taken with or without food (take with food if stomach upset). Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Sporidex Drops 10ML. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use only for bacterial infections (not for viral colds/flu). Inform doctor if allergic to cephalosporins/penicillins or if you had severe allergy/anaphylaxis. Use with caution in kidney disease; dose adjustment may be needed. Seek urgent care for severe diarrhoea, blood in stools, severe rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty. Prolonged use may cause fungal overgrowth/superinfection.
