Atorvastatin 10 mg + Aspirin (Enteric-coated) 75 mg capsules
Prevention of heart attack and stroke in people at risk, secondary prevention after myocardial infarction/angina/PCI or CABG, management of dyslipidemia with need for antiplatelet therapy
Atorvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor that reduces cholesterol synthesis and lowers LDL and triglycerides while modestly increasing HDL. Aspirin irreversibly inhibits COX‑1 in platelets, reducing thromboxane A2 formation and thereby preventing platelet aggregation and clot formation.
Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually once daily at the same time. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew (especially due to enteric-coated aspirin). Preferably take after food to reduce stomach upset unless advised otherwise.
Common side effects of STATPURE -A 10/75MG CAPS may include:
Not for relief of acute chest pain. Risk of bleeding (higher with ulcers, older age, alcohol use, blood thinners); seek help for black stools, vomiting blood, unusual bleeding/bruising. Atorvastatin may rarely cause muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) and liver enzyme elevation—report muscle pain with fever/dark urine; periodic liver tests may be needed. Avoid in active liver disease. Use caution in asthma, gout, uncontrolled hypertension, history of peptic ulcer/bleeding, kidney disease, and before surgery/dental procedures (inform clinician).
