Styptocid Tablet is used for used as a haemostatic to help control minor bleeding episodes (e.g., bleeding gums, nosebleeds, excessive menstrual bleeding) as advised by a doctor.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Likely acts as a haemostatic by supporting clot stability and reducing capillary bleeding, thereby helping control minor bleeding. Exact mechanism depends on the active ingredient(s), which are not available for this brand entry.
Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow tablet with water; can be taken with or without food. Do not exceed the recommended dose; seek medical care if bleeding is severe or persists.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Styptocid as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Styptocid than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Styptocid are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Inform your doctor if you have blood in urine, clotting disorders, or are on anticoagulants/antiplatelets. Stop and seek help if allergic reactions occur (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty).
Anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), antiplatelets (e.g., aspirin, clopidogrel), thrombolytics, hormonal contraceptives/estrogens (may increase clot risk with some haemostatics), other medicines affecting clotting
