Telmisartan (40mg) + Bisoprolol (2.5mg)
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when a combination of an ARB with a beta-blocker is required; may be used in patients with high BP with coexisting heart disease as advised by the physician.
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II effects, lowering blood pressure. Bisoprolol is a selective beta-1 blocker that reduces heart rate and the force of contraction, decreasing cardiac output and blood pressure.
Oral tablet; take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice (especially due to bisoprolol).

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Telzox B 2.5 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Prescription-only antihypertensive. Monitor blood pressure and pulse; risk of symptomatic hypotension especially with dehydration/diuretics. Bisoprolol may worsen asthma/COPD, bradycardia, heart block, and can mask hypoglycaemia symptoms in diabetes; avoid abrupt withdrawal. Telmisartan can increase potassium and may worsen kidney function; monitor renal function and electrolytes, especially in elderly, dehydration, or kidney disease. Contraindicated in pregnancy; avoid in bilateral renal artery stenosis. Caution in severe liver disease. Seek urgent help for fainting, severe dizziness, wheezing, swelling of face/lips, or very slow pulse.
