How Tiomate Transcaps works

Tiomate 12mcg/18mcg Transcaps is a combination of two medicines: Formoterol and Tiotropium. Formoterol is a bronchodilator while Tiotropium is an anticholinergic. They work by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widening them. Together, they make breathing easier.

How to take Tiomate Transcaps

Trancaps must not be swallowed. Check the label for directions before use. Place the capsule at the base of transhaler, not in the mouthpiece. Twist the mouthpiece completely until your hear a click and breathe in deeply through the mouthpiece. Hold your breath for up to 10 seconds. If some powder remains in the transhaler repeat the process.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Tiomate 12mcg/18mcg Transcaps, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Tiomate Transcaps than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
