How Tricaine Tablet works

Tricaine Tablet is a combination of two antacids (Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium) and an antifoaming medicine (Simethicone). The antacids neutralise excess acid in stomach. The antifoaming medicine disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

How to take Tricaine Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tricaine Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Tricaine Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

An overdose of this medicine can cause severe loose motions or constipation and disturb the body's salt balance. This medicine can make it harder for your body to absorb other medicines, especially certain antibiotics. Avoid taking any other medicine within 2 hours before or 2 hours after you take Tricaine Tablet. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 2 weeks of taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines which thin the blood (anticoagulants, e.g. warfarin).
