Vildagliptin (50mg)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve glycaemic control) as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medicines along with diet and exercise
Vildagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP). This enhances glucose-dependent insulin release and reduces glucagon secretion, helping lower blood glucose with a low risk of hypoglycaemia when used alone.
Oral tablet. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually once or twice daily, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; take at the same time each day and continue diet/exercise plan.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Vildoha 50MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Monitor liver function before and during treatment; stop and seek medical advice if jaundice, dark urine, persistent nausea/vomiting, or right upper abdominal pain occur (risk of hepatitis). Use with caution in renal impairment; dose adjustment may be required. Rare risk of pancreatitis—seek urgent care for severe persistent abdominal pain. Hypoglycaemia risk increases when combined with sulfonylureas/insulin; dose adjustment may be needed. Caution in heart failure (especially if severe); use only on medical advice. Do not use if allergic to vildagliptin.
