Warnings and precautions
Take it on an empty stomach, about half an hour to an hour before your first meal — this is when the acid pumps are most active and the medicine works best. Long-term use has been linked to low magnesium and low vitamin B12, and to a higher risk of bone fracture. Review the need with your doctor rather than continuing indefinitely.
