Poc Glucospot Strips is a medicine containing Blood glucose test strips (enzymatic reagent-coated; specific enzyme/chemistry strength not specified). It is used for self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in people with diabetes, checking blood sugar at home and clinic with a compatible glucometer. It belongs to the group of medicines called In-vitro diagnostic medical device (blood glucose test strips).
Use only with the compatible POC Glucospot glucometer as per user manual. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Poc Glucospot Strips are pain at finger-prick site, minor bleeding, bruising and local infection (rare). Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Poc Glucospot Strips works.

Most side effects of Poc Glucospot Strips are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Use only with the compatible POC Glucospot glucometer as per user manual. Wash and dry hands, insert strip into meter, prick fingertip with a lancet, apply a small drop of blood to the strip sample area, wait for the reading. Use a new strip for each test; do not reuse. Test timing (fasting/post-meal) as advised by doctor.
Each strip contains reagent chemistry that reacts with glucose in a small drop of capillary blood. The glucometer measures the resulting electrical/optical signal and converts it to a blood glucose reading.
For in-vitro diagnostic use only. Use strips only before expiry and only with the specified meter; incorrect meter/strip pairing can give wrong results. Do not use strips that are damaged, wet, or discoloured. Keep container tightly closed; moisture/heat can affect accuracy. Results may be affected by improper sampling, insufficient blood, contaminated hands, extreme temperatures, dehydration, shock, high altitude, or certain medications/conditions; confirm unexpected results and consult a clinician. Single-patient use recommended; do not share lancets to avoid infection transmission.
Store as per label, typically in original vial at room temperature (generally 2–30°C). Protect from heat, direct sunlight and moisture. Keep vial tightly capped; do not refrigerate/freeze unless label states. Use strips promptly after removing from vial.
