Blood glucose test strips (for self-monitoring) - pack of 50 strips
Self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) in people with diabetes; checking fasting/post-meal glucose; monitoring hypoglycaemia/hyperglycaemia trends as advised by doctor.
Each strip contains reagents that react with a small drop of capillary blood. The compatible glucometer reads the electrochemical/reflectance signal generated by the reaction and displays the blood glucose value.
For in-vitro diagnostic use only. Use only with the compatible POC Glucospot glucometer. Insert strip into meter as per device instructions, apply a fresh drop of blood to the sample port, and read the result. Use a new strip for every test; do not reuse. Follow meter manual for coding/calibration (if applicable) and quality control checks.
Pain at finger prick site, minor bleeding, bruising, local infection (rare)
Use strips before expiry date and only if vial/pack is intact. Do not use damaged, wet, or discoloured strips. Incorrect storage, contaminated hands, insufficient blood sample, or incompatible meter can give inaccurate results. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose used strips/lancets as biomedical sharps waste. If readings are unexpectedly high/low or symptoms do not match results, repeat test and consult a doctor.
Results may be affected by improper sampling (dirty/sugary fingers), dehydration, shock/hypotension, very high/low haematocrit, high altitude, and interfering substances depending on strip chemistry; refer to product insert for specific interferences.
Store in original container at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from heat, sunlight and moisture. Keep container tightly closed and take out strips only when required. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
