Allrite 5 mg Tablet contains Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg. It belongs to the Second-generation H1 antihistamine class of medicines.

How Allrite 5 mg Tablet works

Levocetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks peripheral H1 histamine receptors. This reduces the effects of histamine released during allergic reactions, easing sneezing, itching, watery eyes and hives.

How to take Allrite 5 mg Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually once daily; can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; avoid exceeding the recommended dose. If it causes drowsiness, take in the evening and avoid driving.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased drowsiness),sedatives/sleeping pills (additive sedation),theophylline (may reduce clearance slightly),ritonavir (may increase antihistamine exposure)
