Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg

Uses of Allrite 5MG Tab

Relief of allergic rhinitis (seasonal/perennial) symptoms such as sneezing, runny/blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes; urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin itching.

How it works

Levocetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine that selectively blocks peripheral H1 histamine receptors. This reduces the effects of histamine released during allergic reactions, easing sneezing, itching, watery eyes and hives.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually once daily; can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; avoid exceeding the recommended dose. If it causes drowsiness, take in the evening and avoid driving.

Warnings & precautions

May cause drowsiness in some people—avoid driving/operating machinery if affected. Use with caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed); consult doctor before use. Tell your doctor if you have urinary retention/prostate enlargement. Do not use if allergic to levocetirizine/cetirizine/hydroxyzine. Seek medical help for severe rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty.
