How Antovit Tablet works

Multivitamin/multimineral supplements help replenish essential vitamins and trace elements required for normal metabolism, energy production, red blood cell formation, and immune function. They correct or prevent deficiency-related symptoms when dietary intake is inadequate.

How to take Antovit Tablet

Take by mouth as advised by a doctor. Commonly taken once daily after food with water; do not exceed the recommended dose. Swallow whole; do not crush unless directed.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Antovit as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Antovit than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Antovit Tablet

Most side effects of Antovit are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• abdominal discomfort
• constipation
• diarrhoea
• headache
• metallic taste
• urine discoloration (bright yellow)

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Antovit Tablet

Warnings and precautions

Do not use if allergic to any ingredient. Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, iron overload disorders (e.g., haemochromatosis), hypercalcaemia, or if taking other vitamin supplements (risk of overdosing). If pregnant/breastfeeding or for children, use only on medical advice. Stop and seek care if rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty occurs.

Interactions with other medicines

May reduce absorption/effect when taken with tetracycline/quinolone antibiotics, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates (separate by 2–4 hours). Antacids/cholestyramine/orlistat may reduce vitamin absorption. If the product contains vitamin K, it may interact with warfarin (monitor INR).

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
