Hypertension (high blood pressure)

• •In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Aten-H 25 Tablet blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force. Additionally
• •it eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke
• •a heart attack
• •or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine
• •but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective
• •even if you feel better.

How it works

Aten-H 25 Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. Atenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Directions for use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aten-H 25 Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
