Treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Azilta 8 Tablet is a calcium channel blocker. It regulates the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and reducing the pressure on them, thereby making it easier for the heart to pump more blood throughout the body. In this way, it helps normalize the blood pressure in patients with high blood pressure.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Azilta 8 Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Azilta 8 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Azilta than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Azilta are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Azilta 8 Tablet. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Do not drive or perform any activity that requires mental focus until you know how Azilta 8 Tablet affects you. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
