Bisoprolol 5 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg (tablet)
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); may also be used in patients with chronic stable angina when prescribed, especially when BP is not controlled with one medicine.
Bisoprolol is a selective beta-1 blocker that slows heart rate and reduces the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure and cardiac workload. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure.
Take by mouth as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
Common side effects of BISOBIS A 5 TAB 10S may include:
Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask low sugar symptoms), thyroid disorders, heart failure, conduction disorders (AV block), low blood pressure, severe peripheral vascular disease, and liver impairment. Do not stop beta-blocker abruptly (risk of rebound angina/HTN). Seek urgent care for severe dizziness/fainting, very slow pulse, worsening breathlessness or swelling. Not typically recommended in pregnancy unless advised; caution during breastfeeding.
