How Caldraft D3 Tablet works

Calcium provides the building block for bone mineralization and normal muscle/nerve function. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate, helping improve bone strength and correct deficiency.

How to take Caldraft D3 Tablet

Tablet: take as advised by a doctor, usually once daily after food with water. Do not exceed recommended dose; maintain adequate hydration.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Caldraft D3 as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Caldraft D3 than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Caldraft D3 Tablet

Most side effects of Caldraft D3 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• metallic taste

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, or high vitamin D levels. Avoid taking multiple calcium/vitamin D products together unless prescribed. Seek medical help if symptoms of high calcium occur (persistent vomiting, confusion, excessive thirst/urination).

Interactions with other medicines

May reduce absorption of tetracyclines/quinolones (separate by 2–4 hours), bisphosphonates (separate by 2 hours), levothyroxine (separate by 4 hours), iron/zinc supplements (separate by 2 hours). Thiazide diuretics may increase risk of hypercalcemia; corticosteroids may reduce vitamin D effect; digoxin risk increases with hypercalcemia.

How to store Caldraft D3 Tablet

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
