How Cynocal M Forte Tablet works

Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin/cyanocobalamin forms) is essential for DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation and helps maintain healthy nerve function. Supplementation corrects deficiency, improves anemia parameters, and supports nerve repair and myelin maintenance.

How to take Cynocal M Forte Tablet

Take orally as directed by physician. Generally taken once daily after food; swallow tablet whole with water. Do not exceed recommended dose unless advised.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Cynocal M Forte as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Cynocal M Forte than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Cynocal M Forte Tablet

Most side effects of Cynocal M Forte are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to vitamin B12/cobalt. In untreated folate deficiency, B12 alone may not correct anemia—evaluate for combined deficiencies. Patients with Leber’s disease (hereditary optic neuropathy) should avoid vitamin B12 unless prescribed. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice.

Interactions with other medicines

Chloramphenicol (may blunt hematologic response), metformin (may reduce B12 absorption with long-term use), proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers (may reduce B12 absorption), colchicine and neomycin (reduce absorption)
