Droxyl 250 DT is used for droxyl 250 DT Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used for short-term treatment of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin and soft-tissue, blood, abdomen, genital and lungs (pneumonia). It is also used to prevent infections after surgery.

Droxyl 250 DT contains Cefadroxil (250mg).
Droxyl 250 DT Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Droxyl 250 DT Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Droxyl as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Droxyl than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Droxyl are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

| Kidney | Droxyl 250 DT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Droxyl 250 DT Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. |
| Liver | Droxyl 250 DT Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Droxyl 250 DT Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. |

Store Droxyl below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
