How Fol Xt Tablet works

Fol-XT Tablet is a combination of vitamins and minerals. L-methyltetrahydrofolate calcium is a source of folate and an alternative to folic acid. It replenishes the low levels of folate, thus treating anemia. Methylcobalamin corrects vitamin B12 deficiency, thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate treats or prevents deficiency of vitamin B6 and improves the functioning of the nervous and immune systems.

How to take Fol Xt Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Fol-XT Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Fol-XT Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Taking more Fol Xt than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
