How to take Foracort 100 R/C
For inhalation use only with a compatible Rotahaler/rotacap inhaler device. Use exactly as prescribed, usually 1 rotacap twice daily; do not swallow the rotacap. Rinse mouth and gargle with water after each use to reduce risk of oral thrush; use regularly for best control and not for sudden breathlessness (keep a rescue inhaler if prescribed).
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
If you take too much
An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, marked tremor, headache and a fall in blood potassium. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Use with caution in patients with heart rhythm disorders, hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, seizures, and in tuberculosis or untreated infections; long-term/high-dose use may cause adrenal suppression, reduced bone density, glaucoma/cataract in susceptible patients. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice; seek care if breathing worsens or rescue inhaler use increases.
