How Genvit Tablet works

Multivitamin/multimineral supplements replenish essential micronutrients needed for normal metabolism, red blood cell formation, nerve function and immune response. They help correct dietary deficiencies and support energy production and tissue repair.

How to take Genvit Tablet

Take by mouth as advised by a doctor/dietitian. Commonly taken once daily after food with water; swallow whole and do not exceed the recommended dose.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Genvit as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Genvit than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Genvit Tablet

Most side effects of Genvit are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• headache

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in kidney disease, liver disease, history of kidney stones, iron overload (hemochromatosis) or high calcium levels. If pregnant, breastfeeding, on chronic medication, or if symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Some vitamins/minerals can accumulate if taken in excess; avoid taking multiple supplements with overlapping ingredients.

Interactions with other medicines

Antacids and calcium/iron/zinc can reduce absorption of tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics; iron and calcium can reduce levothyroxine absorption; vitamin K may reduce effect of warfarin; antiepileptics (phenytoin, carbamazepine) may lower folate/vitamin D; bile acid sequestrants may reduce absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

How to store Genvit Tablet

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
