Uses of Glypride 1 Tablet

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to control high blood sugar) when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient; may be used alone or with other antidiabetic medicines as prescribed

• •Reduces symptoms related to high blood sugar

How it works

Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas (beta cells) to release insulin. It also helps the body use insulin more effectively, thereby lowering blood glucose levels.

Directions for use

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily with breakfast or the first main meal. Swallow with water; do not skip meals after taking it. Dose adjustments are based on blood sugar; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
