Imucef Plus Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.
Take the missed dose of Imucef Plus as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Imucef Plus than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
| Pregnancy | Imucef Plus Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. |
|---|---|
| Breastfeeding | Imucef Plus Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. |
| Alcohol | Consuming alcohol with Imucef Plus Injection does not cause any harmful side effects. |
