Isotretinoin 10 mg (soft gelatin capsule)
Treatment of severe nodular/cystic acne (acne vulgaris) not responding to adequate courses of standard therapy including systemic antibiotics and topical treatments
Isotretinoin is an oral retinoid that reduces sebaceous gland size and sebum production. It also normalizes follicular keratinization and has anti-inflammatory effects, thereby reducing acne lesions.
Oral capsule; take exactly as prescribed by a dermatologist. Usually taken once or twice daily with food (preferably with a fatty meal) to improve absorption; swallow whole with water, do not crush/chew. Follow the full course and regular follow-ups/lab tests.
Common side effects of Isotroin 10 Caps may include:

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Isotroin 10 Caps. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
