How Longifene DS Tablet works

Longifene-DS Tablet is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine). This helps treat various allergic conditions such as conjunctivitis and urticaria. This also stops the vomiting centre in the brain from receiving nerve messages that would otherwise cause motion sickness (nausea & light-headedness).

How to take Longifene DS Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Longifene-DS Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Longifene-DS Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Longifene DS than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
