How Peglec-Lx Liquid works

This medicine combines 4 active ingredients: Polyethylene Glycol, Sodium, Sodium Bicarbonate and Potassium. Polyethylene Glycol softens the stool and encourages the bowel to move, making it easier to pass. Sodium supplies a vitamin, mineral or nutrient that your diet may not be providing in sufficient amount. Sodium Bicarbonate neutralises or reduces stomach acid, giving quick relief from burning and indigestion. Potassium supplies a vitamin, mineral or nutrient that your diet may not be providing in sufficient amount.

How to take Peglec-Lx Liquid

Shake the bottle well before each dose and measure it with the cup, spoon or dropper supplied — a kitchen spoon is not an accurate measure. Take it at bedtime or as directed. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

Laxatives can reduce the absorption of other medicines taken at the same time. Iron, calcium, zinc and magnesium reduce the absorption of thyroid tablets and several antibiotics — separate them by a few hours.
