Rosuvastatin 20 mg
High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia), mixed dyslipidemia, prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in high-risk patients
Rosuvastatin is a statin that inhibits HMG‑CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis in the liver. It lowers LDL and triglycerides and can modestly increase HDL, helping reduce atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk.
Tablet; take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; continue diet and exercise advice. Do not stop without medical advice.

Not recommended in active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation of liver enzymes. Seek urgent care for muscle pain/tenderness with fever or dark urine (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Use with caution in kidney disease, hypothyroidism, heavy alcohol use, age >65, and with interacting medicines; periodic lipid and liver function monitoring may be advised.
