Rosuvastatin 5 mg
Treatment of high cholesterol (hypercholesterolaemia) and mixed dyslipidaemia; prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in high-risk patients as advised by a doctor.
Rosuvastatin is a statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces cholesterol production in the liver. It lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides and can modestly raise HDL (“good”) cholesterol, helping reduce plaque formation and cardiovascular risk.
Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Continue diet and lifestyle measures; do not stop without medical advice.
Common side effects of Rozitiq 5 Tab may include:

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Rozitiq 5 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Not recommended in active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation of liver enzymes. Risk of muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) increases with higher doses, elderly age, kidney impairment, hypothyroidism, and interacting drugs—seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/weakness, fever or dark urine. Use with caution in kidney disease and heavy alcohol use; periodic lipid and liver function monitoring may be advised.
