How Seroflo 125 Synchrobreathe works

Fluticasone propionate is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, swelling and mucus production. Salmeterol is a long-acting beta2-agonist that relaxes airway smooth muscles to keep the airways open for easier breathing. Together they improve symptom control and reduce exacerbations when used regularly.

How to take Seroflo 125 Synchrobreathe

For inhalation use only with the Synchrobreathe inhaler as prescribed. Use regularly at the same times each day; rinse mouth/gargle with water after each use and spit out. Not for sudden breathing attacks—keep a rescue inhaler (e.g., salbutamol) available. Follow correct inhalation technique and dose count (120 metered doses).

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Seroflo as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Seroflo than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Seroflo 125 Synchrobreathe

Most side effects of Seroflo are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• palpitations
• muscle cramps

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Not for acute bronchospasm/rapid relief. Do not exceed prescribed dose or stop abruptly without medical advice. Rinse mouth after use to reduce risk of oral thrush. Use with caution in diabetes, hyperthyroidism, cardiovascular disease/arrhythmias, hypertension, glaucoma, osteoporosis, liver impairment, and in patients with active/latent infections (e.g., tuberculosis) as steroids may worsen infections. Seek medical help if breathing worsens after inhalation (paradoxical bronchospasm) or if signs of pneumonia occur in COPD. Long-term/high-dose inhaled steroids may cause adrenal suppression and reduced bone mineral density.

Interactions with other medicines

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ritonavir, cobicistat, ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin) may increase fluticasone/salmeterol levels and systemic steroid effects; beta-blockers may reduce bronchodilator effect; other sympathomimetics may increase cardiovascular side effects; diuretics/xanthines/corticosteroids may increase risk of hypokalemia; MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants may enhance cardiovascular effects; other LABA-containing products should be avoided.

How to store Seroflo 125 Synchrobreathe

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from heat/direct sunlight and moisture. Keep inhaler clean and dry; do not puncture or expose to flames. Keep out of reach of children.
