Asthma Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Solbihale T Redicaps, please consult your doctor.
An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, marked tremor, headache and a fall in blood potassium. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Most side effects of Solbihale-T Redicaps are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Know which of your inhalers is the reliever and which is the preventer. A preventer must be used every day even when you feel well; a reliever is for symptoms. Seek emergency care if your reliever is not working, if you cannot speak a full sentence, or if you are using the reliever far more often than usual. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after every steroid inhaler dose to prevent thrush and hoarseness. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to watch your technique — poor technique is the commonest reason an inhaler seems not to work. Use a spacer if one has been advised, particularly for children.
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for anyone with a known allergy to the propellant used in the inhaler.
Beta blockers, including eye drops for glaucoma, can tighten the airways and reduce the effect of your reliever.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
Solbihale T Redicaps makes breathing easier for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. This medicine is for inhalation only. The tablet should not be swallowed. It should be taken at the same time each day. It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Gargle with warm water after each inhalation to avoid any fungal infections in your mouth and throat. Take the first dose under medical supervision as it may cause wheezing or tightening of the airways (bronchospasm) immediately after using. Your doctor may monitor your blood potassium level regularly while taking this medication. Only small amounts of Solbihale T Redicaps may get absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation. Hence, serious side effects are unlikely.
