Composition

Metformin hydrochloride 1000 mg (sustained/extended release) + Glimepiride 2 mg

Uses of Startglim-M2 Forte Tab

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to control high blood sugar) when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient; used in patients requiring combination therapy.

How it works

Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin, lowering insulin resistance. Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, helping reduce blood glucose levels, especially after meals.

Directions for use

Take by mouth as prescribed by a doctor, usually once daily with the main meal (often dinner/breakfast depending on regimen). Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew if it is SR/ER. Follow diet/exercise plan and monitor blood glucose regularly.
