Telmisartan (40mg) + Amlodipine (5mg)
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is not sufficient; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled BP.
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II at AT1 receptors, lowering blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (dihydropyridine) that reduces calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation and further BP reduction.
Oral tablet. Take once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Telmikind AM Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Not recommended in pregnancy (can harm fetus); stop and consult doctor if pregnancy occurs. Use with caution in kidney disease, renal artery stenosis, dehydration/low blood pressure, liver impairment, and in patients on diuretics. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function (serum creatinine) and potassium as ARBs may cause hyperkalemia. May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Rare angioedema can occur; seek urgent care for facial/lip/tongue swelling or breathing difficulty.
